Bio: I came to Colorado when I was five years old to begin kindergarten in Boulder. Although I was born in Illinois, in the educational sense, I am a native of Colorado having attended Colorado schools almost my entire life. I always wanted to be a teacher( well, except for when I wanted to be a movie star or a cowgirl) and began my career teaching ninth grade in Severna Park, Maryland while my husband served in the Air Force at Fort Meade.

Returning to Colorado to start a family, I took a year off before teaching ninth grade language arts, speech, and reading, again, this time for 10 years in Adams County. At this point I had the luxury of staying home to take care of my three children. I returned to teach high school in Jefferson County for three years before starting a masters program. I came to Euclid in 1991 and have taught eighth grade here ever since.

With all three of our children out on their own, my husband took the brave step of becoming a teacher himself. I don't know if I am his mentor but we certainly have lots of stories to share. We both have a career we love!
