Today we want to celebrate our amazing students in Latinos in Action and their teacher, Ms. Abbe Guarino!

Latinos in Action (LIA) is a class focused on empowering Latino youth and students in the school community. In the class, students build leadership skills in the school and greater community, grow in personal development and expand their cultural connection. Students lead through organizing events for Euclid that have a service, social and professional focus, bettering themselves and the community they are a part of at Euclid.

These pictures reflect another way students lead. A few times a month, students travel over to The Village for Early Childhood Education and Little Raven Elementary. While there, they have the opportunity to see what it's like to mentor and tutor students!

Start with a short kickoff in the EPIC Campus Great Hall, then explore hands-on, age-appropriate activities for students from preschool through high school. Whether your child is brand new to coding or already passionate about tech, there’s something for everyone! High school students interested in a more deep dive of the Computer Science Pathway at EPIC Campus should watch for details about a follow-up event the following week.

What do homemade dog toys, the edges of plastic lids, and composting have in common?

They’re all part of Euclid Middle School’s Eco Fair!

8th grade environmental science students partnered with the Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance to rethink their rubbish and turn trash into treasure. From trivia games about the 5 Rs, ring toss made from recycled items, a compost-fueled plant growth experiment, to a station where you can make a dog toy out of an old t-shirt, these Falcons brought creativity and conservation together in the most inspiring way!

Even better? The candy prizes were saved from the landfill thanks to a donation from the Zoo’s Boo at the Zoo event.

Nearly 100 eighth graders from across Littleton Public Schools gathered at Twain for a day devoted to leadership, teamwork, and community building during this year’s Middle School Leadership Conference. Students from Newton, Goddard, Littleton Preparatory, Options, Euclid, and Powell middle schools came together to sharpen skills that will help them become confident, compassionate leaders as they transition into high school.
